Sescel Harris, Regional Vice President

Sescel Harris attended the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. He holds the Certified Occupancy Specialist certification through the National Center for Housing Management.

Mr. Harris began his career with Cardinal Industries in 1989 as a leasing agent in Miami. He has extensive experience with lease-ups, stabilizing assets, and renovation projects. Mr. Harris has worked in major markets including Miami, Atlanta, Denver, and Washington DC overseeing 3,500+ apartment-homes. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Harris understands the importance of fostering team development and analyzing trends to prepare for upcoming challenges. He holds extensive expertise on both the owner and fee-managed aspects of the business. Mr. Harris previously served as regional portfolio manager for Integral Management Services in 2003, overseeing their 2,000 HOPE VI units, before being promoted to asset manager for the entire portfolio consisting of 8,000+ units. To broaden his knowledge, he then worked for major REITs with Class A assets, where he spent eight years as a district manager with UDR and two years as a regional property manager with Aimco.

In 2014, Mr. Harris joined Equity Management, as a regional director, overseeing several of their smaller individual clients in various diverse markets to reposition the portfolio. He has also been integrally involved in the planning, implementation, and set-up of policies and procedures with the executive team, to include lease-up and stabilization of challenging assets.

After continued mentoring and development by the executive team, Mr. Harris was promoted to regional vice president in 2024. He remains committed and goal driven to his teams through an all-encompassing open door policy, bringing everyone to the table to share ideas, concepts, and way to innovate our approach to the day-to-day site and corporate operations.
